Minnesota Twins at Detroit Tigers Preview

Minnesota Twins at Detroit Tigers Predictions

The Detroit Tigers have won three of four since the All-Star break and look to continue the trend when they host the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night. The Tigers have allowed five runs in their three wins over the last four days and turn to veteran right handed starter Anibal Sanchez in the second of a three game series against the American League-worst Twins.

Detroit has won all seven meetings between the AL Central rivals this season, including a 1-0 triumph in the series opener on Monday. Justin Upton homered to provide the only run for the Tigers and has warmed up by going 11-for-36 over the last 10 games with a pair of blasts and five RBIs. Minnesota, which has won six of its last 10, owns an AL-low 33 wins this season. It won’t be long before the Twins try to move talent to try and get a few cheap young players.

MLB Umpire Betting Stats

Jerry Layne 14 Games: Home wins; 8-6, Over covers; 10-3

Twins vs Tigers Prediction

Do you like offense? I hope so because if you like starting pitching then don’t watch this game. In fact, it looks like umpire Jerry Layne likes offense to. The over has a 10-3 record in games he has umped. Both of these pitchers should be gone by the sixth inning and before they leave the over may have already covered. I am not taking a side in this one because I have a slight lean to Detroit but the line is to steep. I will just put my money down on the over and cheer on every home run.

Score Prediction:
Tigers 8 – Twins 6
