Philadelphia Phillies vs Colorado Rockies Pick

Phillies vs Rockies Prediction
MLB Free Pick 07-09-16

The Philadelphia Phillies appear to be rediscovering the form that allowed them to become one of the most surprising teams through mid-May. The Phillies have won nine of 11 and the offensive surge may get a boost by playing another game in Colorado against the Rockies. Philadelphia began the season 24-17 after finishing with the worst record in the majors last year and stood just one-half game behind National League East leader Washington on May 18. They then dropped 28 of their next 36 to fall as far as 13 games back in the division. Although, they rank 2nd to last in the majors in runs scored. The offense been hot recently and they are averaging 5.5 runs over its last 17 games. The Rockies have lost eight of 10 thanks mostly to a surprisingly bad offense that has scored 25 runs in 9 July games. With 11 coming in one game.

Phillies vs Rockies Betting Prediction

Philadelphia sends Eickhoff to pitch in Colorado for the first time. Like most young pitchers the first trip to Denver can end in a quick disaster. He has abundant confidence and wont give in to the fear of giving up a home run or two. Eickhoff should pitch relatively will in Denver and so should his counterpart Anderson. He has been in top form at Coors field. With a good pitcher going for Colorado and the recent pathetic offensive production of the Rockies I am going to risk 50% my money on the under at Coors. Not an easy bet to make with a park that is the highest scoring park in baseball. I am going to bet the other 50% on the Phillies +130 on the money line.

Score Prediction:
Phillies 5 – Rockies 3
