Miami Dolphins vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Preview

The Steelers were a 27-24 winner in their most recent outing at home against the Browns. They earned a push of the -3-point spread as favorites, while the total score (51) made winners of OVER bettors.

In their last action, Miami was a 35-14 loser at home against the Patriots. They failed to cover the +7.5-point spread as underdogs, while the combined score (49) was profitable news for OVER bettors.

Miami: (10-6 SU,9-6-1 ATS)

The Miami Dolphins are back in the Playoffs but will be without Ryan Tannehill at quarterback. Against the Patriots last week Matt Moore played reasonably well. He connected on 24 of 34 passes for 205 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Jay Ajayi will have to carry the load for the Dolphins if they want to beat the Steelers. Ajayi had an outstanding season, with 1272 rushing yards with eight touchdowns. Ajayi burned the Steelers for 204 yards in the week six win.

The Dolphins defense will be tested in a big way against the Steelers as they will have to try and stop Roethlisberger, Brown, and Bell which is no easy feat. However, last time they held Roethlisberger to only 189 passing yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

Dolphins vs Steelers
Betting Prediction: Miami +10

The Steelers have won seven straight, but the first time they faced the Dolphins, Miami had more than 200 yards by Jay Ajayi. It was the first of three 200-yard games by Ajayi. Matt Moore isn’t an great but his drop-off from Ryan Tannehill isn’t as big as the sports books are posting. The Dolphins will run and run and run. Then a little play action to keep the ball. Like the Steelers to win but not to cover.

Score Prediction:
Pittsburgh 31 – Miami 23
