When: 7:00 PM ET, Saturday, October 29, 2016
Where: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
TV: 7 p.m. ET, NHL Network, ROOT (Pittsburgh), CSN Philadelphia

Pittsburgh Penguins Preview (5-2-1):

Pittsburgh has won three of its last four without the services of offensive-minded defenseman Kris Letang (upper body), who could return to the lineup on Saturday. “He’s getting closer for sure,” coach Mike Sullivan told the team’s website. “Obviously, he’s a big part of our team and we’re a better team when he’s a part of our lineup.” Evgeni Malkin recorded a goal and an assist for the second time in four outings on Thursday, and has flustered the Flyers to the tune of 60 points (22 goals, 38 assists) in 47 career meetings.

Pittsburgh won its last outing, a 4-2 result against the Islanders on October 27. Bettors who backed the Penguins at -175 on the moneyline won on the day, and the total score (6) sent OVER bettors to the payout window.

Pittsburgh:
Team record: 5-2-1 SU
Pittsburgh is 2-5 ATS in its last 7 games
Pittsburgh is 11-5 SU in its last 16 games
Pittsburgh is 9-4 ATS in its last 13 games on the road

Philadelphia Flyers Preview (3-4-1):

Wayne Simmonds scored his fourth power-play goal in six contests on Thursday for Philadelphia, which has nine tallies with the man advantage in that stretch and five in its last two games. The 28-year-old Simmonds, who leads the Flyers with five goals, scored twice in his last encounter with Pittsburgh. Coach Dave Hakstol didn’t divulge his starting goaltender for Saturday and perhaps with good reason, as Steve Mason yielded five goals on Thursday and Michal Neuvirth has been relieved in each of his last two outings.

Last time out for Philadelphia, they were a 5-4 loser as they battled the Coyotes at home. Moneyline bettors who got the Coyotes at +158 were rewarded, while the 9 combined goals moved the game OVER for totals bettors.

Philadelphia:
Team record: 3-4-1 SU
Philadelphia is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games
Philadelphia is 2-5 SU in its last 7 games
The total has gone OVER in 6 of Philadelphia’s last 8 games

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Philadelphia Flyers

Dallas Stars vs. Minnesota Wild

When: 8:00 PM ET, Saturday, October 29, 2016
Where: Xcel Energy Center, Saint Paul, Minnesota
TV: 8 p.m. ET, FSN Southwest (Dallas), FSN North (Minnesota)

Dallas Stars Preview (3-3-1):

Dallas has also struggled killing penalties, allowing seven power-play goals in the last six games and won just twice in that span. The Stars are without regular forwards Jason Spezza (lower body), Jiri Hudler (illness), Patrick Sharp (concussion), Mattias Janmark (knee), Ales Hemsky (groin) and Cody Eakin (knee) as they continue a three-game road trip. Tyler Seguin leads the team with four goals and three assists while rookie Devin Shore has posted six points in the early going and had a career-best four shots on goal in Thursday’s loss.

The Stars were a 4-1 loser in their most recent outing on the road against the Jets. That made winners of bettors who got Winnipeg at -116 on the moneyline, while the total score (5) was good news for OVER bettors.

Dallas:
Team record: 3-3-1 SU
Dallas is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games
Dallas is 2-4 SU in its last 6 games
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Dallas’s last 5 games

Minnesota Wild Preview (5-2-1):

Minnesota placed Teemu Pulkkinen on waivers Friday and could get fellow forward Erik Haula (foot) back soon while 19-year-old rookie Joel Eriksson Ek continues to impress with five points in his first four NHL games. “He’s getting better every night,” Wild coach Bruce Boudreau told reporters of the forward. “. … He’s done everything and more that we’ve asked of him so far.” Jared Spurgeon (upper-body) could return to the lineup after missing four games, but fellow defenseman Marco Scandella (knee) is likely out after leaving Thursday’s game.

Minnesota was a 4-0 winner in its last match on the road against the Sabres. They won as -135 underdogs, while the total score of 4 made winners of UNDER bettors.

Minnesota:
Team record: 4-2-1 SU
Minnesota is 9-4 ATS in its last 13 games
Minnesota is 5-2 SU in its last 7 games
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Minnesota’s last 5 games
